What Halloween costume would your character wear? (Assume they were forced to choose, uh, by aliens if they're grumpy or not in a time/place with Halloween.) Why?
Conv:
Kota - Rockstar, complete with fake arm-tattoos and face piercings and anything leather he could buy used or borrow, and lots and lots of hair gel for a mohawk. And he would carry his Rock Band guitar-controller.
Leija - She's kind of cheesy, so she'd totally get fluffy angel wings and a tinsel-halo for her own amusement.
Soren - A very tattooed Conan the Barbarian, just because he wants an excuse to wear a loincloth and carry a big sword around.
Isaac - Isaac is pretty sure he hates Halloween now, but if forced, he'd go as a 50s greaser all John Travolta style.
Joshua - Zombie. Mostly face paint and some ripped-up clothes. The boy's not very creative.
Ash - Wolverine! Hey bub! And he might-could do the claws too! CLAWS, PEOPLE.
Jason - Fetish slaveboy, no question. Or, alternatively, whatever pleased Amarinth the most.
Jesse - If it didn't require shaving his head or a crappy-looking skullcap, Spider Jerusalem. Since he'd have to costume on the cheap, he'd probably be Kurt Cobain.
David - Elvis. No question. Sparkly Vegas Elvis too, hell yeah.
Ray - I see Ray being a werewolf, for some reason.
Seth - Something dumb and sarcastic, like a Hello My Name Is sticker. He's no fun.
Derek - Sexy Anne-Rice-style vampire, because god knows he couldn't stand to be anything but charming in front of people.
27 Hours:
Aaron - An EMT (lazy), but he probably wouldn't go to any parties or anything.
Judiel - I can only picture him wearing a shirt with the number 42 on it. So he'd be The Answer.
Lex - Halloween is interesting when you're a shifter. If it wouldn't freak everybody out, she'd walk around as various celebrities (mostly Vin Diesel, for Ivy) until she had to change again.
Logan - Logan's no fun either, so he'd be something macabre like a suicide victim or something.
Rost - Every day is Halloween for Rost. He'd deck himself out in his best gypsy gear and really play up the stereotype even more.
Satoru - Something sciencey no one would understand, like the molecular structure of caffeine made out of coat hangers and colored styrofoam balls.
Torlin - Death from the Sandman comics, because she likes to be a little goth princess sometimes.
Wood - The biggest, buffest Cher ever, given he could find a long black wig and a sparkly slinky dress. And he would do his damndest to cajole Trick into being Sonny Bono.
Aaaaaand now I want a crack!verse costume party to happen. -_-

Day 06 - The best kiss?
First kisses almost always hit me right in the heart (I'm sappy, I know, I know, eat me :B). I'm kind of a sucker for the vampire kisses, too (Lucien/Soren, Satoru/Terrence, mmm). Both the sensual ones that are careful about fangs and the don't-give-a-fuck-om-nom-blood ones. Recently, Trick and Wood's first kiss was amazing, and Kieran and Torlin's was super sweet.
Day 07 - The most heartbreaking scene?
I've had quite a few heart-wrenchers. The confession scene with Isaac and Peyton really tore my heart out. :-/ I teared up in a few spots, I must admit. It's a tie between that one and the flashback with Aaron and Curtis when he got bitten. Both of those, augh. Hurty-chest. I loved them though, they both turned out -awesome-. I think I was even writing them around the same time? So it was kind of exhausting, but delicious.
Day 08 - The pairing with the most baggage?
Neil and Seth are defined by their baggage. Lucien and Soren have quite a bit between them, but I think they (usually :B) balance each other out nicely. Ash and Joey are kind of the same way, only with less angst, as neither of them are very dramatic people. XD Curtis and Aaron have plenty of baggage that they don't even talk about. Now that I'm pondering it, I have lots of baggaged-chars. XD <3

Day 03 - A pairing that needs to happen now?
Oh lawd. I try not to plan ahead with ships (unless I'm creating chars WITH someone, to bring in together), but there's of course stuff I'd love to see happen. :B Thad and Lex srsly need to bang at least once and get it over with. So far I think Kieran and Torlin are adorable, but that hasn't gotten very far yet. I'd love to see her WITH someone though, she's so sweet when she's in a relationship. I'd love to find someone for Rost to at least dally with, so someone can fully experience his crazy. :B Derek needs a fuckbuddy, but most of my Conv kids are pretty set.
I pre-ship other people's kids even less than my own. XD I'm loving reading some in the making, though. I adore the whole Cassandra/Ripper/Chance mess, can't wait to see that come to a head.
Day 04 - The pairing with the most chemistry?
Like Sara said, all mine have -some- level of chemistry. They have to, or it's just no fun. I think Trick and Wood had the most immediate chemistry, at least in recent memory. It was like their eyes met and they were like "oh baby" right off the bat. XD Yum. And Soren and Lucien have always had amazing chemistry. They can't keep their hands off each other, but they can still go so emotionally deep. Love it. I love Ray and Monica's chemistry, too. <3 Playing them IC is still relatively new, but I still feel like they've been together for as long as they have and they're at that comfy place. ^_^
Day 05 - The pairing with the least chemistry?
Ships with no chemistry don't last, as I said. So ... none currently? There've been a few in my RP past that just fell really flat. :-/ Natalya and Kurt come to mind. Rose and Kota didn't ever really click the way I wanted them to. But it happens, it's just part of the whole thing. ^_^ In real life and RP life.

Day 02 - What was your very first ship?
This is going waaaaaay way back. Like ... when I first started roleplaying Way Back (yes, I've always been a shameless shipper). Like 8 or 9 years ago, I started RP on the White Wolf World of Darkness Unmoderated chats. Lex was my very first character, she was a Black Fury werewolf. They were an all-female tribe, known for being particularly fierce. She was a lot younger then, terribly angry, and a bare knuckle boxer.
She happened to meet an older mage dude named Doc, and that was how I first met his player, Dave. I know Bet and Amy at least know who I'm talking about. :B Anyway, Lex and Doc fell into this incredibly passionate affair thing, despite Doc being engaged in-game at the time (her player was never around, pretty much). It was all very heart-wrenching and butterfly-inspiring and caused lots of drama within the crew Doc ran around with and was melodramatic; in short, it was the type of shit I LOOOOVE. XD We've played them on and off in different settings and situations, and they still hold a special sort of place in my heart. Dave does too, since he's the reason I moved over to journal games in the first place and I still love him to bits, even though we don't write together (currently) anymore.

Day 01 - What is your current favorite ship?
I'm making the executive decision not to pick only one, because I CAN'T, Y'ALL. I love all my ships passionately. The ones eating my brain the most at the moment are Neil/Seth, Trick/Wood, Lucien/Soren, and Peyton/Isaac.
Neil and Seth because they are RIGHT AT an intense tipping point where everything's probably going to change for them. It's had build up for months and I'm just like lakjf;dahgoiewaofjeaojljkdafjljgorha about it.
Trick and Wood because they're my happy place. They're sexy, Trick is the sweetest thing on two legs, there's angst potential there, but the two of them still giggle and wrestle around like kids and yay. Sometimes I just have to crawl up in some Trick/Wood and hide. <3
Lucien and Soren because of the CURRENT ANGST OMG. I'm dying for Sunday's scene already. Death death death. They're always really intense, and Soren In A Bad Place always consumes my brainmeats, and he is verreh verreh woobie right now. Love. Them.
Peyton and Isaac because like Sara said, they were the anti-angst ship for so long. I love that it might go in a whole new direction, and being in Isaac's headspace right now is ... interesting. And my heart just aches for them. ;_; But it's so goooood. <3
Honorable mentions include Curtis/Aaron (wangsty but oh so sweet at the same time, in their way), Monica/Ray (yaaay mature love! :D they make me happy), and Joey/Ash (they're so comfy and sexy and familiar, like a great pair of jeans).

Is there any PB you use or have used in the past that you feel kind of weird about using? If yes, then why and who? XD How about a character, anyone you feel weird about writing?
1. Of my current PBs, the one I feel weirdest about is Brad Pitt. Mostly because he's over-used (not in our circles, but elsewhere), and unless it's the -intent- of a character to be a hunka-hunka-burnin'-love sort of guy (see: Soren), I try to avoid using the Traditionally Handsome Hunksa Hunksa type PBs. (Not that I don't love my boys and would do most of them in a heartbeat, but I'm aware that my taste is usually not so mainstream.) The exception being Eion Bailey for Ray, but he was already picked and isn't an A-List celebrity. But omgyum. Anyway, I do drool over Brad in those roles when he's all dirtyfilthy and over the edge and violent. It suits him, idk. But his Fight Club/Snatch looks matched what I had in my head for Wood, I couldn't imagine anyone else's face. But still, I feel like a sellout. :B
2. I also kind of feel bad using Jensen Ackles. He is lovely, yus, but probably wouldn't have been my choice for Derek. But oh well, I adopted him, so.
3. He's not in play yet, but I have a feeling Malachai (crazy preacherman) is going to be a difficult challenge for me. I've played some crazies before, but he's going to be ... damaging crazy. Insidiously so. -_- I think that's why I haven't actually finished his application yet, I'm a little worried. I dunno if I'll do him justice, or if he'll get any real interaction at all.
4. Sometimes I feel weird writing my pornier boys. Wood, Soren, Ash on occasion ... I know they have depth, but they do hump a lot. >.>; I love Wood to bits, but I feel like he looks like shameless self-indulgence from the outside. I mean, what char isn't? But he really is. Bah, hello self-consciousness!

1. Really, PBs are such an integral part of making a character for me, I'm not sure that any of them -don't- work. I always spend lots of time during the app process staring at certain pictures that seem to encapsulate the character. Some of them aren't actors, of course, but if they were ... I think Ben Foster fits -really- well as Seth. It's that intense crazy-eye stare he's so good at, and he's very crouchy in some photoshoot pictures and it just works. I sort of shamelessly fashioned Rost a bit after his PB because he's awesome, so there's him. XD James Morrison's face is absolute perfection for Aaron.
2. If I had to pick one, it would probably be Kota and Daniela Sea. Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of transgendered folks in pop culture, so finding a pb was a bit difficult. Daniela is just a -tiny- bit more feminine in the face than I picture Kota in my head. And ideally, Colin Farrell would have all of Soren's tattoos so I could get some delicious shirtless icons, but you can't have everything. :B
3. I struggled a lot with Soren's face, honestly. Back when I made him for the game he was originally in, I sifted and sifted through people and just wasn't happy. Since he was intended to be a just-for-shits-and-giggles character, someone suggested Colin, and I was like "okay good enough." It was also difficult to find Seth's pb until I REMEMBERED HOW AWESOME BEN FOSTER IS. XD
4. The list of PBs who fell into place is much bigger than those who didn't. :B Rost was kind of built around his PB. So was Jesse. Ani Difranco has been Lex's PB ever since I started having to have them (Lex is my oldest RP char), but I picked her immediately and she works so well. David was built around Jemaine Clement, because I sooooo wanted to use him somewhere. There are actually a lot of PBs that I routinely ogle and want to build chars for, but I know I shouldn't. -_-;

Satoru Maeda - 27 Hours
1. He's never had a girlfriend/boyfriend. Despite being lovely and kind of personable lots of the time, Satoru's always been single. He's been on a few dates here and there (always with girls), but nothing has ever really stuck. Even with the super-nerdy girls. Either they just didn't jive together or he was too talkative and stupid about normal-people conversation for them.
2. He's super-submissive. He's just finding this out about himself, but he's a natural submissive in the bedroom. Satoru's never been a big fantasizer. Sex would've been nice, but he wasn't stressing about it. However, with these new developments with Terrence ... yeah, he's really displaying submissive tendencies. Like he -wants- to be pushed around and told what to do, in more than just a 'I have no experience here' way.
3. He holds weird spiritual beliefs. Satoru doesn't talk about it much, but he truly believes that 'God' is just a word for the flow of energy in the universe. He believes that when people die and decay, the particles that were unique to them flow back into the big energy cycle of the world, and they sort of live eternally that way. He definitely thinks we don't understand all the possible types of consciousness. He'll sort of hesitantly discuss this with people when it comes up, but he doesn't volunteer it much. He's been mocked enough.
4. When he was a kid, he almost drowned. It was in a neighbor's pool, and Satoru had gone over to play with their son. They weren't great friends, but their moms thought the interaction was good for them. He dove a bit too far toward the shallow end and bumped his head. He had to be dragged out and mouth-to-mouthed.
5. He will not wear blue jeans. He's just always had an aversion to them for some reason. Even as a kid, he hated them. But you won't find a pair of jeans in Satoru's wardrobe. They're all khakis and dressier pants. He even has a couple of pairs of those plaid ones, but no jeans.

'Soren' Matthews - Convergence
1. He's mostly illiterate. This is one that I'm pretty sure is in his bio but it doesn't seem to come up a lot, so not everybody is aware of it. He can barely read, and it's almost impossible to read anything he writes down. He's learned to function with it, and is pretty good at covering it up, but it's kind of a sore spot. Yes, he knows a lot of Norse mythology and has technically read through the Poetic Edda, but he had a LOT of help from Read, and it took him a very long time.
2. He fantasizes about dying quite a bit. Sometimes it's dying and then becoming a vampire, sometimes it's flat out for-good death. He's not suicidal by far, it's just a scenario that pops up in his head pretty often, depending on the circumstances. He doesn't see it as a terrible thing, really. Though he'd be an absolute wreck if he lost someone he loved, when he comes to himself, it's a much different story.
3. For a while he wanted to get married and have kids. So it was a brief while, but it still happened. :B His childhood was so fucked up that for a couple of years he pondered becoming a father so he could give a kid a not fucked up childhood. He even considered asking one of the girls that hung around Read's place if she wanted to get married. More as an arrangement thing. But then he relapsed briefly and decided that he would never make a good father.
4. He's never wanted to get pierced. Despite enjoying piercings on other people, Soren has never wanted so much as an earring. Ink is obviously much more his thing. He's never really been able to say why, either. And he's been asked.
5. He can break dance. This is a little-known skill that almost never comes up. XD But yes, Soren is actually pretty good at break dancing. Though he's kind of out of practice. And there's always someone better (especially in NYC), so he doesn't brag about it or anything.

Pick a character and write a random memory from their life.
Age 10, age 15 and every five years from there on if they're older than that. Feel free to write a random thing for every five years into the future if you're so inclined.
I'm going to do Wood (lol) because I'm trying to flesh him out better in my head.
Age 10: Wood got high for the first time. He had a tendency to impose himself on his two older brothers and their friends, wanting to roll with the big boys. Well one day they shut him up in a car with them and clam-baked him out of his gourd. (For those not in the know: this is smoking lots of pot in an enclosed space. Even if one isn't actively toking, they'll still get just as high.) They of course all found his giggling and rambling -hilarious-. So did he. It was the start of a love-affair with weed that probably had quite a bit to do with his mental development.
Age 15: Already having officially lost his virginity to a girl, Wood fooled around with his first guy. He'd already tried to chalk up any "additional" attractions to raging hormones, but when he was fifteen he acted on it. Or had it acted on him and didn't mind. It was (again) one of his brothers' friends, and they were (again) stoned. They ended up alone in the house somehow, and the friend (who was nineteen at the time) just started groping Wood. It of course felt nice and things progressed from there. He gave the guy a blowjob, got nothing but rough handling in return, and was okay with that. It never happened again and they never spoke of it.
Age 20: There was a tattoo parlor near the French Quarter that Wood would walk to, after getting off from his crap-ass grocery store job. He was on pretty good terms with one of the artists there, and if the client was willing (and most of them were), he would get to sit and watch him work. He could hang out there for hours, watching and sketching in between clients.
Age 25: At a bar, while he was out with a guy he was sort of seeing (Wood's relationships were rarely ever straightforward), someone called Wood a faggot and he immediately came up swinging. The guy lost a few teeth and ended up with most of his ribs cracked. Wood's nose got broken and his eyebrow got split (hence the scar). They both got arrested, but neither one, nor the bar owner, pressed charges. Even later, during his time in prison, that word would set him off faster than any other.
Age 30: A couple of weeks before his 31st birthday, Wood was standing in a courtroom, numbly listening to a judge sentence him to fifteen years in lockup. He could hear his mother weeping loudly in the background, and feel several sets of disappointed brotherly eyes on his back, but he couldn't turn around. He's mostly forgotten everything that came after that -- being escorted out of the courtroom, the intake processing -- but he does remember standing there, listening to his mama wail, and distantly thinking that fifteen years was half his lifetime.
He's almost 35 now, but I'm not going there yet! Who knows what could happen.

Things I'm Self-Conscious About:
1. I'm gonna go ahead and join in on the "I write too much smut" chorus. >.> I really try to keep it all IC, honestly I do. Most of it happens with the handful of my kids who genuinely are just that way. I just happen to have more than a couple of them. I honestly feel like a lot of emotional development happens (or can happen, anyway) between the sheets (or on the couch or the kitchen counter or car hoods or wherever). Especially when it comes to first times, either with a new partner or de-virginizing period. I hope that I write enough other stuff, too. Sorry if it gets tiresome, guys. :-/ (Though I am doing it with most of you, heh.)
2. Sometimes I worry that all of my char's voices (especially the boys) start to sound the same. I try to keep them varied enough that they don't blur together, but they sometimes feel like they do in my head. Similarly, I'm still not completely confident that I write men well. Silly, I know, since they make up the majority of my lists, but yeah. Especially when I'm writing against male players (too rare), I feel self-conscious that I'm Doing It Wrong.
3. The repetition-demon, like Bet said. I get a few pet phrases for a while and use them too much, I think. I KNOW I use the words "little" and "a bit" WAY too often, and I'm trying to move away from them. I just want so badly to convey it -exactly- how I see it in my head, and so many times changes in expression or movements are so subtle. Blah. -_-;
4. Plots. I suck at thinking of them. ;_; This has been a problem for me for forever, and I'm glad I'm around people who are so good at it on their own, so I can just piggyback and be like "that's awesome! :-D" and it's okay. I have ideas sometimes, but a lot of the time they feel so my-char-centered that they feel Sue-ish. So ... I love you girls, forgive my uncreativity? ♥

day 11 - a memory
I have lots of them. Plenty of them are not pleasant, thanks to a couple of people that all of you know. :-/
So here's a sort of good one! And this isn't 'cause I don't have great memories with you guys, 'cause I totally do. It's just the one that's sticking out in my brain the most (probably because I just wrote about Soren XD).
This was in a game called Atrum Unda, which was mostly mage-based. Myself, K, and a girl named Shanna (I think), were writing a scene in which Soren, Read, and Shanna's girl whose name I cannot fucking remember right now (we'll call her Sue), were breaking into some warehouse. There was technology down there that was doing crazy things to the town, emanating waves of some kind. Anyway, they get down there, and there's no obvious way to shut it off. What is Soren's solution? To smash it. Sue took the initiative, swung something heavy she had with her, and smashed the shit out of the controls. All of the sudden (in K's post) this lightning-bolt type of blast of energy shot out and vaporized Read. Like ... just a tiny pile of ash where Soren's mentor and first real love had just been standing.
The thing was, K didn't tell us that this was her plan at -all-. It was a total, jaw-on-the-floor surprise. There was total dead silence in the chat window we were all in for about a minute, and then Shanna and I both proceeded to freak the hell out. It was SO well-played, and I think all of us cried a little. I couldn't even be mad about it, really. It led us to some amazing places, char-development-wise, and Read eventually ended up coming back (it was the start to a plot she'd cooked up in secret). It was something.
I think that's the only time I've ever been truly SHOCKED at something a player did, in a good way.

day 10 - a band you’ve started to listen to because of rping
This one kind of has a billion answers. Mostly because I've made friends through RPing, and they've introduced me to some awesome music. Namely Dave, one of our favorite pastimes was trading music. So, Aesop Rock, Atmosphere, That Handsome Devil, Dose One, Clutch (omggggggg Clutch), Guster, Puscifer, I could go on and on and on. Music is VERY closely tied to writing for me. I must have good background music for a scene, or I just can't concentrate correctly.

day 09 - character you’ve made more than once
Oh gawd. XD There's a whoooooole long list. Such things happen when you drop out of a game but still love your kids and want to move them over to another game. :B It'd be shorter to tell you which ones I haven't re-made.
In Convergence, out of eleven: Kota, David, Ray, and Seth are originals. XD And I don't even know if Ray counts, since he was an NPC first.
In 27 Hours, out of five: Wood and Rost are originals. Judiel is a heavy-heavy modification, he's kind of a blend between two chars I've had before.
That's not even counting all of my homeless characters who've had second lives. Of which I have many.
